TEDx Event Coming to Downpatrick

The Council is delighted to sponsor TEDxDownpatrick which takes place in the St Patrick’s Centre, Downpatrick on Friday 31 March from 9am to 4pm. TEDx events aim to spark conversation, connection and community, bringing speakers and audiences together to share stories and 'ideas worth spreading'. 

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Michael Savage said, “This is the first time that a TEDx event will take place within Newry, Mourne and Down District Council. It’s a great opportunity to shine a positive light on Downpatrick and the surrounding areas and we are delighted to be working in partnership with TEDx to host this exciting event."

TEDxDownpatrick Curator and Licence Holder, Catherine Murnin, welcomes the support of Newry, Mourne and Down Council saying, “The TEDx team have been working hard behind the scenes to bring TEDx to Downpatrick. Local businesses have come on board to support the event. We have an exciting agenda with great speakers and local talent to entertain the audience and we look forward to welcoming everyone to the St Patrick’s Centre on Friday 31 March.”
