The Green Flag Award, supported by Heyn Waste Solutions, is a prestigious award setting an international benchmark standard for the management of parks and green spaces. A Green Flag flying overhead is a sign to the public that the space boasts the highest possible standards, is beautifully maintained and has excellent facilities.
Slieve Gullion Forest Park, which is managed by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, is proud to fly the Green Flag in recognition of the outstanding quality of their green space and the hard work and dedication required to achieve such an outstanding award.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick said, “I am delighted to congratulate all of the hard working and dedicated staff at Slieve Gullion for continuing to keep the park up to the highest possible standard. This is a fantastic achievement that can make the Newry, Mourne and Down District proud.”
