Seolann an Chomhairle Plean Corparáideach 2024-2027
Tá Plean Corparáideach foilsithe ag Comhairle Ceantair an Iúir, Mhúrn agus an Dúin, a chlúdaíonn an tréimhse ó 2024 go 2027. Is é seo an tríú plean corparáideach ó tháinig ann don Chomhairle.
Mar cheann de na comhairlí is mó i dTuaisceart Éireann, táimid ar thuras claochlaitheach agus le dhá bhliain anuas tá dul chun cinn suntasach déanta againn d’fhonn ár gcuspóirí a bhaint amach. Leagann an Plean Corparáideach amach ár n-ocht gcuspóir straitéiseacha agus na príomhthionscadail a aithnítear chun tacú leis an chlaochlú seo ar fud ár gceantair agus laistigh dár n-eagraíocht féin.
Agus an Plean Corparáideach seo á chur i bhfeidhm, leanfaidh an Chomhairle de bheith ag obair go dlúth lenár gcomhpháirtithe sa rialtas agus sna hearnálacha príobháideacha, deonacha agus pobail chun torthaí níos fearr a bhaint amach agus seirbhísí ar ardchaighdeán a sholáthar dár saoránaigh.
Dúirt Cathaoirleach Chomhairle Ceantair an Iúir, Mhúrn agus an Dúin, an Comhairleoir Pete Byrne, “Cé go bhfuil go leor dúshlán ann, tá an Chomhairle tiomanta do na hocht gCuspóir Straitéiseacha a leagtar amach sa Phlean Corparáideach a chur i gcrích; cuspóirí a d’aithin tú féin mar ghnéithe tábhachtacha don phlean.
“Tá cur chuige comhoibríoch ag an Chomhairle; comhoibrímid le comhpháirtithe agus pobail ár gceantair. Déanann an cur chuige sin an bealach do sheirbhísí a athdhearadh agus a sheachadadh ar dhóigh a bhfreastalaíonn ar riachtanais áitiúla. Is é an Plean Corparáideach seo ár ngealltanas duit.”

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council has published its third Corporate Plan, which covers the period from 2024 - 2027.
As one of the largest councils in Northern Ireland we are on a transformational journey and over the past two years have made significant progress towards realising our goals. The Corporate Plan outlines our eight strategic objectives and the principal projects identified to support this transformation across our district and internally within our organisation.
In delivering this Corporate Plan, the Council will continue to work closely with our partners in government and the private, voluntary and community sectors to achieve better outcomes and deliver high-quality services for our citizens.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Pete Byrne said, “While there are many challenges, the Council is committed to delivering on the eight Strategic Objectives detailed in the Corporate Plan which you have identified as important.
“These priorities focus upon supporting the continued growth and development of our local economy, health and wellbeing, protection and enhancing our environment, supporting regenerative tourism opportunities, revitalising our district, providing sustainable services, advocating for the benefit of all people of the district and empowering communities to play an active part in civic life.
“The Council’s collaborative approach with partners and communities offers a path to redesigning and delivering services that are responsive to local needs. This Corporate Plan is our commitment to you.”
