Seefin – The Music of The Mournes at Down Arts Centre
Down Arts Centre is delighted to announce that string trio group, Seefin will be performing on Saturday 22 February. The group play a mix classical and traditional music with a touch of jazz.
Seefin draw a lot of their musical inspiration from the Mournes. All three musicians share a connection and love for the culture and landscape of this magical part of County Down. The group loves to play live sets and create music that celebrates and savours the beauty of open spaces and isolation.
Performing at the Down Arts Centre at 8pm, the group features the distinctive musical talents of Brendan Popplestone on guitar and vocals, Sherry Robinson on cello and Niall Lynchon violin. Together they compose and play inventive, unexpected blends of music, with a unique feel that’s infused with the influences and rich colours of Irish and European styles
