Scéim Sparánachta na Gaeilge 2024-2025 á seoladh
Tá Gairm 1 de Scéim Sparánachta na Gaeilge 2024-2025 fógartha ag Comhairle Ceantair an Iúir, Mhúrn agus an Dúin. Cuideoidh an scéim le daoine a bhfuil cónaí orthu i gceantar na Comhairle freastal ar chúrsaí Gaeilge trí sparánacht a chur ar fáil chun cuidiú le táillí agus costais chúrsa a chlúdach.
Déanfar iarratais trí fhoirm iarratais ar líne. Beidh sin ar fáil ón Luan 11 Márta 2024, 12in. Gheofar tuilleadh eolais maidir leis an scéim ar shuíomh na Comhairle anseo www.newrymournedown.org/ssng áit a mbeidh nasc go dtí an t-iarratas ar líne.
Dúirt Cathaoirleach Chomhairle Ceantair an Iúir, Mhúrn agus an Dúin, An Comhairleoir Valerie Harte,
“Tá mé an-sásta a fhógairt go bhfuil an scéim seo ag oscailt arís i mbliana. Is cúis bhróid dúinn sa Chomhairle go dtig linn cuidiú leis an phobal an Ghaeilge a fhoghlaim.
“Tá a fhios againn go bhfuil brúanna móra an tsaoil ag cur isteach ar an phobal ar fad agus cuideoidh an scéim seo le táillí agus costais chúrsa a mhaolú.
“Molaim go mór don phobal ar fad cur isteach ar Scéim Sparánachta na Gaeilge agus guím rath ar gach duine cá bith áit a bhfuil siad ar a dturas foghlama!”

• Módúil ar chúrsaí Gaeilge
• Dianchúrsaí Gaeilge

Irish Language Bursary Scheme 2024-2025 Launched
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council have announced the opening date for Call 1 of the Irish Language Bursary Scheme 2024-2025. The scheme will help residents in the district to attend Irish Language colleges and courses through bursary assistance aimed at covering course costs and fees.
Applications will be submitted via an online application form. This will be available from 12noon on Monday 11 March 2024. Further information regarding the scheme can be found on the Council’s website www.newrymournedown.org/ssng where a link to the online application can be accessed from the schemes opening date.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Valerie Harte said, “It is great news again that this scheme is reopening for another year. Council is very proud that we can help the public in this way.
"We know that there are great pressures affecting the lives of our entire community and this scheme will help to alleviate some of the course fees and costs learners face.
"I highly recommend Council’s Irish Language Bursary Scheme to all in our community and wish everyone well in their Irish Language learning journey!”
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council invites applications for bursaries towards:
• Local Irish Language Courses
• Gaeltacht Colleges
• Modules within Irish Language Courses
• Intensive Irish Language Courses
Applications are welcome for courses taking place between: 1 April 2024 – 30 September 2024
Opening date: Monday 11 March 2024, 12 noon
Please note: no applications will be accepted prior to the opening date.
