Put a Spring in Your Step with Newry, Mourne and Down PCSPs Health and Wellbeing Event
Newry, Mourne and Down Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) in partnership with the Southern Drug and Alcohol Connections Team (SDACT) have organised a free walk-in health and well-being event in Newry Leisure Centre on Thursday 9 March from 10am to 12pm.
Attendees can expect to find over 15 information stands with representatives from key organisations in the wellbeing field who will provide help and advice on topics such as drugs and alcohol use, mental health, in addition to signposting residents to local support groups within the area.
Newry, Mourne and Down PCSP Chairperson, Councillor Alan Lewis said, “In the midst of collective challenges such as the cost-of-living crisis which has followed a period of increased isolation and stress due to Covid-19, the PCSP feel it is important that residents understand what support is available for them across the district and how they can access support to improve their wellbeing.”
Cllr Lewis continued, “This free drop-in event provides an excellent opportunity for residents to come along and chat with local service providers as the information provided could make a difference in your day-to-day life.”
