Public Health Complaints
The Council will investigate a range of complaints relating to public health, including the following:
- accumulation of dog foul
- accumulation of household waste
- defective privately rented dwellings
- drainage complaints
- offensive odours
- ruinous and dilapidated premises
- smoke, dust, and fumes.
In most instances complaints can be resolved through informal advice.
Where people responsible for the nuisance are reluctant or unwilling to take steps to resolve the problem, a legal notice can be served.
