Public Survey - Proposed Introduction of Dedicated Dog Exercise Areas at Kilbroney and Castlewellan Forest Parks

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is inviting views from members of the public for input into the proposed introduction of dog exercise areas at Kilbroney and Castlewellan Forest Parks (a similar area is already in place at Delamont Country Park). The proposed areas are intended to improve the overall visitor experience at the parks.

The dog exercise areas will have the following amenities:

• large areas of frequently mowed grass
• close proximity to the main car parks with easy access via existing paths
• securely fenced so that dogs are free to exercise off-lead
• new benches and dog waste bins
• a dog drinker
