PEACE IV Information Evenings Announced for Rowallane, Slieve Croob and Downpatrick DEAs
Rowallane, Slieve Croob and Downpatrick District Electoral Areas (DEA) are hosting information evenings to outline PEACE IV opportunities for local community groups. These events will give groups a chance to find out more about the various strands of the programme and how they can become involved.
Representatives from the Programmes Unit will provide an overview of the PEACE IV programme and answer any arising queries. The programme will support local projects that will promote positive relations between people from different communities and ethnic backgrounds. The information evenings will take place on the following dates:
Slieve Croob: Monday 9 October, 7pm at the Old School House, Clough
Rowallane: Tuesday 17 October, 7pm at the Market House, Ballynahinch
Downpatrick: Thursday 26 October, 7pm at St Patrick’s Centre, Downpatrick
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Roisin Mulgrew said "Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is pleased to deliver exciting opportunities presented through various initiatives which focus on promoting diversity and good relations throughout our district. These information evenings will provide an insight into the programmes available."
“I would encourage all groups to come along to this not to be missed event and register your interest in taking part in the programmes outlined”.
As there will be high interest in this event and limited spaces available, places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. To register, please email claire.hamilton-bryce@nmandd.org or telephone 028 9756 4113.
