PCSP and PSNI Host Community Engagement Meeting in Newry
Newry, Mourne and Down Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP) and the PSNI are hosting a Public Meeting on Community Safety on Tuesday 6 February at 7pm in The Canal Court Hotel, Newry.
The meeting is open for all to attend and is a chance to share concerns and hear directly from Newry Mourne and Down PCSP and the PSNI about their ongoing commitment to resolving local community safety issues.
Chairperson of Newry, Mourne and Down PCSP, Councillor Oonagh Hanlon, who will be attending meeting said, “I would encourage members of the public to come along to this public meeting and take the opportunity to speak directly with senior police personnel and local Neighbourhood Policing Teams. Newry Mourne and Down PCSP aim to increase confidence in policing, and the open forum that the community engagement meeting will provide is crucial to establishing this. I would urge members of the public to attend the meeting on the 6th of February, to ensure they have their voice heard on local community safety issues.”
Superintendent Norman Haslett of Police Newry Mourne and Down said, “We would encourage members of the public to take this opportunity to speak with their local policing team about issues which are affecting them in the Newry, Mourne and Down area. At the meeting, PSNI personnel will be available to answer questions and address any concerns or issues you may have about policing across our district. During the meeting, there will be a presentation on our strategy to tackle violence against women and girls.”
