Councillor Mark Murnin Chairman of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is set to embark on a 66 mile walk across the District in this 3-day event to raise funds for his 3 chosen charities; NI Air Ambulance; Newry Gateway and Glebe House.

A 10k Life Run will take place on Sunday 9 September in Delamont Country Park to raise awareness of World Suicide Prevention Day.

Harrison MacUillin, 22, of Old Warrenpoint Road, Newry, was convicted on 21 May 2018 in Newry Magistrates Court of offences under Sections 4, 5 and 9 of the Welfare of Animals Act (NI) 2011.

The Newry District Inter Church Forum (NDICF), in partnership with the Irish Churches Peace Project and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, will be holding a series of events in April/May based on a locally produced film “A Step Too Far: A Contemplation on Forgiveness”.
