Operational Excellence workshops for Newry, Mourne and Down Businesses

Businesses across the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council area are being urged to take advantage of a new series of business improvement ‘Lean’ workshops, hosted by Invest Northern Ireland.

Under the theme ‘Operational Excellence’, the ‘Lean’ workshops are designed to empower local businesses, enabling them to embrace more efficient processes that will compel their competitive advantage, boost productivity and help to improve profitability.

Delivered by a team of operational excellence coaches with a wealth of commercial experience and expertise spanning a diverse range of manufacturing and service sectors, these workshops will help to unlock the full potential of businesses. With their experience in key efficiency improvement practices, such as ‘lean principles’, ‘six sigma techniques’ and ‘supply chain optimisation’, the coaches will impart invaluable wisdom.

As the cost of doing business continues to climb, these workshops will equip businesses with an insight into incorporating ‘lean stabilisation’ tools and techniques seamlessly into their business, to improve business processes. This will result in efficiencies in time and expense which is especially important for businesses that are challenged with resource limitations and cash flow.

The first workshop begins on Thursday 25 May with four additional workshops scheduled throughout June.

There will also be opportunities for participating businesses to receive one-to-one mentoring sessions to tackle individual businesses’ challenges. Each workshop is free to attend and will be held at the Kilmorey Arms Hotel, Greencastle Street, Kilkeel.
