November Brings Music and Laughter to Down Arts Centre
Two new shows will be brightening up November at the Down Arts Centre, with both music and humour in the spotlight.
Friday 9 November will see Tony Wright and his solo performance of song and story thrill fans who have followed him for 20 years, first as a pivotal member of ‘And So I Watch You From Afar’ and latterly in his compelling solo career. Chapter and Verse, part of Tony’s most recent musical incarnation VerseChorusVerse, is a thought provoking, funny and startlingly honest show with a killer soundtrack.
Changing gear on Saturday, 10 November, is a performance by one of Ireland’s humblest ‘Lamas’, Kevin McAleer who brings his majestic tour of the universe to Downpatrick. The home grown comedian and guru has been touring the world and, while you might not achieve full enlightenment on the night, the comedic show will have you laughing throughout.
