Tourism is a key part of the economy in Newry, Mourne and Down. Newry, Mourne and Down District Council has identified tourism growth as a key priority in the Corporate Plan 2015 – 2019 and the Economic, Regeneration and Investment Strategy 2015 – 2020. To realise this ambition of becoming “one of the premier destinations on the Island of Ireland” the Council has prepared an ambitious, bold and strategic plan that will drive tourism growth over the next four years and will lay the foundations for the longer term.
