‘Newry City showcasing Sporting Excellence’

The 2016 Newry City Marathon will take place on Sunday 29th May 2016. Over the past 8 years this event has gone from strength to strength and this year Newry City Centre Management are delighted to be undertaking the organisation of this year’s prestige marathon event in the heart of the City centre in association with our event sponsor Newry Credit Union.

We are inviting all schools and groups within the district to get involved in this sporting event. The Fun Run is open to all ages, and is a great way for families and young people to come together.

The FUN RUN / WALK / JOG will consist of 1.5 Miles taking the following route:

The Fun Run will start on Hill Street at 10am and will take the following route: Kildare Street, Sugar Island, Merchants Quay turning left at Ballybot Bridge into Mill Street turning left onto the Mall and turning right at Courtney’s Cafe into Market Street finishing at the Newry Credit Union on Hill Street.

Cost incurred: is £3 / £10 – Family of 4
