Newry and Mourne Museum 'Life in a 16th Century Castle'
2016 marks thirty years of service for Newry and Mourne Museum. To celebrate this very special birthday, the Museum will host ‘Life in a 16th Century Castle’ on 30 May.
This will be a chance for families to visit the museum and discover how Bagenal’s Castle would have functioned 400 years ago.
A costumed guide will escort you through the Castle informing throughout of the functions of each room and the norms of 16th century society.
There is a session at 11am – 12pm, and another at 12.30pm – 1.30pm. This event is suitable for children aged 6 upwards. Numbers are limited to 20 for each of the workshops and pre booking of places is advisable. An adult must accompany children.
As this is a very special time for the Museum there will be no cost.
