New Creative Aging Partnership Launches Arts Workshops
Seeking something new? Want a new challenge? An opportunity to socialise, learn and perform?
The Creative Aging Partnership is just for you, a new initiative from Newry, Mourne and Down District Council in partnership, South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust and Down Community Arts facilitated by Down Arts Centre staff.
Catering for people 55+, the Partnership will offer visual art workshops in Down Arts Centre, Downpatrick, drama workshops in Newcastle Centre and establish a community choir through singing workshops in The Market House, Ballynahinch.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairman, Councillor Mark Murnin said, “Whether you’re a seasoned arts enthusiast or a beginner looking for a new challenge, the Creative Aging Partnership workshops will provide you with all the support you need with the help of a professional tutor. These workshops also provide an excellent opportunity to get out to socialise and meet new friends.”
All three workshops will start on Monday 8 October and run for 10 weeks until Monday 10 December from 10am to 12.30pm, costing only £25. Places are limited so please register for the workshop of your choice by contacting Down Arts Centre Box Office on
