National Pool Lifeguard Qualification with AED Module

The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification with AED module course is beginning on Thursday 22 June at Kilkeel Leisure Centre at the discounted rate of £199.

This course will consist of intensive sessions on;

Thursday 22 and Friday 23 June from 6pm to 10pm

Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June from 9.30am to 5.30pm

Friday 30 June 6pm to 10pm,

Saturday 1 July from 9.30am to 5.30pm and Sunday 2 July from 9.30am to 3.30pm (Includes final assessment)

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. The course is subject to sufficient acceptable candidates.

Prospective Candidates will undergo a water test before acceptance on to the course. Candidates must;

Be over 16 years old

Be capable of swimming 100m continuously on front and back,

Be capable of swimming 50m under 60 seconds,

Be able to complete a surface dive to the bottom of the pool (2.8m),

Be able to tread water for 30 seconds

Be able to climb out of the pool unaided without the use of steps/ladder.

Candidates are required to make their own catering arrangements.
