Across our district we have six indoor centres and complexes offering an array of amenities, including swimming pools, fully equipped gyms, health suites and a variety of fitness classes to suit all levels.

We have a range of memberships so you can be active, your way, every day! Our flexible payment options allow members to avail of daily rates, Pay As You Go, as well as monthly direct debit packages and three, six or twelve month pay up front options.

Newry Pool Update
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is pleased to announce that Newry Leisure Centre Pool has reopened following the completion of major refurbishment works.
The main pool, learner pool, wet side play area and health suite have all been upgraded, with the extensive works including a complete replacement of all tiles in the pool areas, pool deck, and village changing facilities.
As part of the refurbishment, the learner pool has been adjusted to a shallower depth, making it more comfortable and accessible for children and families during recreational swimming and lessons. The main pool’s hydraulic floor has also been fully repaired, allowing for adjustable depth levels, which will benefit aquatic clubs and enhance programming flexibility.
The health suite features a rejuvenated spa pool, heated stone bench, steam room, and sauna. Upgrades to the steam room’s water system have improved heat intensity for a more relaxing experience, while the sauna now boasts additional seating to increase capacity.
To avoid disappointment on arrival, it is strongly advised to pre-book weekend swim sessions for Newry Leisure Centre in advance via the NMD Be Active App.
