• Health suite with sauna, steam room and jacuzzi pool
• Commercial fitness classes available to book easily online through the NMD Be Active app
• Fully airconditioned 30+ station fitness suite
• 3 court sports hall accommodating a range of sports such as football, badminton, basketball, table tennis, netball and pickleball
• Squash court
• Meeting room with audio visual capability

Fitness Classes and Health Programmes Available Include:

• Commercial fitness classes which can be booked via the NMD Be Active app.
• Be Active for Life fitness classes - low to moderate physical activity classes available to all ages and abilities which can be booked via the NMD be Active app.
• PARS (Physical Activity Referral Programme) GP Referral programme for people with health-related conditions who may benefit from prescribed physical activity, under the guidance of qualified exercise professional.

Important Information:

Using the gym: Customers must complete an initial free induction session before accessing the gym.  Please ensure this session is booked in advance by calling 0330 137 4026.

Once induction is completed, there is no need to prebook future gym sessions.

Using the pools: Booking your weekend swim session via the NMD Be Active app, in advance is advised to avoid disappointment. Admission policy below applies.

Going to classes: To avoid disappointment, all fitness classes should be booked in advance. Bookings can be made via the NMD Be Active app, by telephoning 0330 137 4026 or in person at reception.

Admission Policy

Newry, Mourne and Down Leisure Centres currently operate the following admission policy for its users:

• All children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible adult (at least 16 years old) at all times.
• An adult (aged 16 or over) may accompany:
  • 1 child under the age of 4.
  •  2 children where at least one of the children is aged over 4 years.
• In addition to the above, non-swimmers (children) must wear a secure flotation device such as fitted armbands or a buoyancy aid.
• Those under 16 years may not use the Health Suite.
• Any person under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be refused admission.
