Hit The Road This Summer With Ring Of Gullion Heritage Coach Tours
With summertime well under way it is time to get out and about with the Ring of Gullion Coach Tours giving you the chance to discover the fantastic areas of Newry, Mourne and Down. The tours will make their way through the rolling hills of South Armagh, visiting built heritage sites of importance in the area.
The tours will kick off on 30 July with Éamonn Ó hUallacháin providing the tour in Irish. From Saturday 6 August until Saturday 24 September, Una Walsh ‘the mastermind of the history of the Ring of Gullion’ will be the tour guide. The coach will be leaving Bagenal's Castle, Newry at 10.30am and returning at 4.30pm.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick said, “The Ring of Gullion Heritage Tour is a great introduction to this area. Every year, we are inundated with positive reviews for the tours, with many visitors highly recommending them due to the historical insight into the culture and folklore of the area. The Ring of Gullion Lúnasa Festival will be running for the month of August in beautiful South Armagh. There will be at least one event taking place every single day throughout the month.
