Down Arts Centre Set to Rock to The Illegals on Their ‘25 Tour’
Down Arts Centre will be rocking with the music of The Illegals as they celebrate their ‘25 Tour’ on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 November.
Twenty-five years ago, the Eagles came back with their magical Hell Freezes Over world tour and Fleetwood Mac reformed their most successful line-up.
To celebrate, The Illegals are putting on a new show for these two ground-shaking music events from the world’s two most iconic rock bands at the Down Arts Centre.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairman, Councillor Charlie Casey said, “I am delighted to welcome The Illegals once again to Down Arts Centre. This production will be a wonderful night of music and nostalgia for all those who grew up to the sounds of The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. To have the best of two legendary bands in one night—it’s almost too good to be true.”
The show, which features Niamh Kavanagh, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993, will take the audience on a journey of soulful harmonies, exciting riffs, blistering guitars and unforgettable songs.
The trip down memory lane will include such favourites as ‘Last Resort’, ‘Go Your Own Way’, ‘Life In The Fast Lane’, ‘Don’t Stop’, ‘In The City’, ‘Say That You Love Me’, ‘Love Will Keep Us Alive’, ‘The Chain’, and ‘Hotel California’—songs that sat at the top of the billboards for over 40 years and continue to thrill listeners.
