Down Arts Centre Gets Ready to ‘Clown Around’ with New Show
Down Arts Centre is pleased to be presenting a new show, aimed at children from four years old and up. The new show is an exploration of what it means to be a girl or a boy and will be presented at the centre on Saturday 19 October at 12noon.
The show, entitled ‘Blue and Pink’ examines the age-old question of what it means to be a boy or a girl and whether girls and boys are really so different after all.
Featuring the music of Neil Foster, two clowns explore these questions without words or speech and play with what it means to be a girl or boy, both or neither. Using slapstick comedy, mime and dance, the dynamic duo discover difference and diversity to find out if everyone can be who they want to be and accept others as they are as well.
