Children Delighted With New Play Park In Mayobridge
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson Councillor Mark Murnin officially declared the new Council Play Park in Mayobridge open on Tuesday 4 September 2018.
Councillor Murnin said, “I am delighted to see children enjoy the new state of the art play park right in the heart of Mayobridge. The play park is filled with fantastic play equipment providing opportunities for all abilities. Just looking around here today and seeing children playing, laughing and the smiles on their faces brings such delight to everyone.”
“The Council’s Play Strategy was launch in May 2017 and has acted as a guidance document to develop efficient and effective play provision in the throughout the district. Mayobridge was identified as an area in need of a fixed play project and is the first of many projects across the district that will provide the opportunity for our young people to grow, learn and develop life-long skills.
