Mentalist, David Meade to Headline Chairperson’s Christmas Charity Concert
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Roisin Mulgrew will be hosting her Christmas Charity Concert on Saturday 16 December, a date that should firmly be placed in everyone’s festive calendar.
Mentalist, David Meade will be headlining the event with his amazing, mind boggling talents, focused on aspects of popular psychology and choice, and which forces audiences to think critically about the challenges around them.
Councillor Mulgrew said, “I am very excited about this wonderful Concert and the talented acts that will be appearing on stage. David Meade is a great showman with an exceptional talent, which will keep people guessing throughout his act. He is also very funny and engaging and even the sceptics will not help but to be drawn in”.
“Newry, Mourne and Down Trad Youth Orchestra will also perform at the Concert comprising of 40 of the best young traditional musicians from Counties Armagh and Down. I had the privilege of attending their first ever concert in Riverside Church, Newry, in September and cannot wait to listen to them again as they are truly amazing”.
“I am also delighted that Accolade Choir will add to this wonderful evening’s entertainment. The Choir is interdenominational, multicultural and non-political and members sing purely for enjoyment and to bring joy to their audience. They have performed at many Council events and are an absolute pleasure to listen to”.
Councillor Mulgrew continued, “The concert is anticipated to be one of the major highlights of the district’s Christmas calendar of events. It is also a very important fundraiser for my three nominated charities, Davina’s Ark, Mental Health Forum and Women’s Aid”.
“Tickets for the Concert would make a wonderful early Christmas present priced at just £15 for these three fantastic acts. It is anticipated they will sell out quickly so if you would like to be part of this festive evening, why not buy your tickets now to avoid disappointment”.
Doors open at 6.15 and the performances start at 7pm.
