Chairperson’s Charity Concert a Resounding Success

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Roisin Mulgrew’s very first Charity Concert was held on Saturday 16 December 2017 at the newly refurbished Newry Town Hall and was the highlight of the District’s Christmas calendar.

The Magical evening of Music and Mystery provided an outstanding evening of entertainment.  The audience was bamboozled by the amazing talents of mentalist, David Meade and delighted by the outstanding Accolade choir and the sensational Newry, Mourne and Down Trad Youth Orchestra.

Chairperson, Councillor Mulgrew said, “I am delighted the concert was such a success. This fantastic event raised much needed funds for my three charities, Davina’s Ark, the Mental Health Forum and Women’s Aid, all of which work so tirelessly throughout our district helping  vulnerable people”.
