Chairperson Announces Christmas Charity Concert
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Roisin Mulgrew, has announced arrangements for her Charity Concert, starring David Meade, Accolade Choir and Newry Trad Youth Orchestra.
The magical evening of music and mystery will be the first concert to be staged in Newry Town Hall since its major refurbishment.
Chairperson Mulgrew said, “I am delighted to announce arrangements for my Charity Concert featuring three outstanding acts. I invite everyone in the local community and beyond to join me on 16 December 2017 and I can assure you of an evening of first class entertainment, which will certainly put you in great Christmas spirit”.
“I would particularly thank our talented performers for their generous in-kind support, ensuring it is a substantial fundraiser for my three worthy charities, which work tirelessly all year supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our district”.
This event is anticipated to be one of the major highlights of the district’s Christmas calendar of events. It is also a very important fundraiser for the Chairperson’s three nominated charities - Davina’s Ark, Mental Health Forum and Women’s Aid.
Doors will open at 6.15pm, with curtain up at 7pm. Tickets are priced at just £15 for these three amazing acts and it is anticipated the Concert will sell out quickly.
