Cllr Savage continued by thanking two founding members and Trustees of the Club attending the Anniversary event Willie McGivern and John McSherry saying, “You should both be extremely proud of everything that the Newry and District Gateway Club has provided for people within our district throughout the years. The club continually strives to look for new ideas while adapting to meet the needs of our young people and adults with learning disabilities. Thank you for your foresight and the time given by everyone who has volunteered or been involved with the club over the last 50 years. Your efforts and dedication continue to keep the Newry and District Gateway Club at the heart of our community.”
