Big Lottery Information Sessions Come to Downpatrick
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council’s Downpatrick, Rowallane, and Slieve Croob District Electoral Area Forums, in association with the Big Lottery Fund, are delighted to announce that they are hosting a free funding information session.
The sessions are designed to help community groups and individuals to look at making applications to the Big Lottery Fund and will answer questions on the types of projects that are suitable for funding and the likelihood of receiving funding.
The sessions will be held on Thursday 26 September from 2pm until 8pm in the Council Offices in the Downshire Civic Centre on Ardglass Road, Downpatrick. Each group will be assigned a 30 minute one-to-one appointment with experienced Big Lottery Fund staff and the slots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
During the half hour meeting groups and individuals will have the opportunity to talk with the Big Lottery Fund officials and get guidance on how best to make a successful application.
There are three strands of funding available including ‘Awards For All’, ‘Empowering Young People’ and ‘People and Communities’. If you would like further information prior to attending the event please telephone the Big Lottery Fund outreach team on 028 9055 1455 or alternatively visit the website www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/northernireland.
