Battle of the Somme Centenary, Sunday 16 October, 2.15pm at Newcastle Centre.

Newry, Mourne and Down District Council is holding a service to commemorate the Battle of the Somme Centenary, Sunday 16 October outside Newcastle Centre.

Open to all, the event will begin at 2.15pm with wreath laying taking place at approximately 3.20pm. Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Gillian Fitzpatrick will be in attendance along with political parties and The Royal British Legion, who have all been invited to lay wreaths at the service.
