Another Fantastic Weekend Ahead in Newcastle
Another Fantastic Weekend Ahead in Newcastle
Two of Northern Ireland’s favourite personalities will be performing in Newcastle Community Cinema next Friday 26 and Saturday 27 July.
The shows are part of the Summer Nights at Newcastle Summer Season programme, which offer a variety of live theatre events and music performances every Friday and Saturday night throughout July and August at Newcastle Community Cinema.
On Friday evening Nuala McKeever’s hilarious stand-up show ‘Letting Go or Losing It’ comes to Newcastle! If you’re gliding gracefully towards the second half of your life, maybe this isn’t the show for you. But if you want reassurance that you’re not the only one struggling with all the things life throws at you, step right up!
Weight gain, menopause, bereavement and becoming invisible are just some of the joys that await the woman of a certain age. What to do? Lie down and take it (at least that makes your stomach look flatter) or stand up and laugh? Nuala McKeever gives both a go in her hilarious new show as she transforms the awful into the awfully funny by way of her trademark wit and compassion. This is a comedy show not to be missed.
Saturday 27 July at Newcastle Community Cinema promises to be a rocking celebration of all the great 70s and 80s classics, belted out by a nine-piece live band. ‘Flashback – The Ultimate Musical Journey’ includes songs by the likes of Donna Summer, Bay City Rollers, Stevie Wonder and Queen. The band will also be joined onstage by U105’s Johnny Hero who will sing some of the biggest hits from this golden era. Grab your dancing shoes and legwarmers for an evening of fun and high energy music.
