About Environmental Information Regulations

The principle behind the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 is to encourage greater awareness of issues that affect the environment.

The Regulations give people the right to access information that relates to or affects, the environment unless there is an exception to disclosure.

Council will determine whether a request to access information falls within the scope of the Freedom of Information Act of Environmental Information Regulations, if not specified by the requester.
