A Magical Mashup at Delamont and a Wacky Wardrobe of Wonder at Kilbroney this Halloween
A host of magical characters have taken over The Walled Garden in Delamont Country Park and The Narnia Trail in Kilbroney Park in time for Halloween.
On Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 October bring the little ones to a ‘Magical Mashup’ at Delamont where they will be asked to help save granny from the grouchy old wolf. The Grand Old Witch may lend a hand or Professor Stinkalot could save the day with an invite into his monster mash potion class. In Kilbroney Park, step through the ‘Wacky Wardrobe of Wonder’ into the magical land of Narnia where all the family, along with a host of superheroes, will be called on to help save Edward from the wrath of the White Witch.
The stories of local writer, performer and Newry native Rozlyn Sheridan are also set to come to life in both Delamont County Park, Killyleagh and Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor this Halloween.
Newry, Mourne and Down District Council Chairperson, Councillor Cathy Mason, said, “Both parks are set to host a magical weekend of storytelling, arts and culture for all of the family to enjoy this Halloween. I look forward to the wonderful experience that these events have to offer which celebrate and showcase the beauty and creativity of our people and place.’’
